What issues should be noted when using HDPE geomembrane in the construction of artificial lakes?
1.Due to the winding shoreline of the lake, for the convenience of cutting, the bottom material of the lake is generally laid along the short direction. When laying the facade, the line should be marked according to the design water level elevation first, and the height of the roll should be 500px higher than the elevation line, and fixed with cement nails.
2. Assign a dedicated person to lay, cut, and overlap within a width of 60mm. During laying, try to avoid wrinkles and folds as much as possible. The welding surface of the coil overlap area should be cleaned and free of any dirt or water.
3. Before welding, the temperature and speed of the heat sealing machine should be adjusted to avoid welding failure due to low temperature or burning of the coil due to high temperature. At the same time, ensure smooth movement of the heat sealing machine to avoid burning of the coil
4. The pipe mouth, internal and external corners, and overlapping parts of the weld seam should be repaired and sealed with a special welding gun after welding is completed.
5. Conduct multiple inspections and rechecks to check for any damage. The areas with multiple internal and external corners of the collection well must be connected to the bottom of the lake membrane after water observation and confirmation. The repaired nodes must undergo water testing before being concealed.
